ABSOLUT VODKA has always loved ideas -- witty ones, serious ones, beautiful ones... As a matter of fact even ugly ones. It all started in 1985, when Andy Warhol made an artwork featuring the now iconic ABSOLUT bottle. Back then most companies only featured pictures of their products in their advertising, so working with an artist was a pretty big deal. Since then ABSOLUT has been closely committed to working with the creative community and has done projects within the realms of art, design, fashion and music. Right now the collection of contemporary art includes the work of more than 400 artists. The reason you received this letter is that we love your work and would like to discuss a potential collaboration between yourself and ABSOLUT within your creative sphere. Read more about this below.

Early next year ABSOLUT will launch a new campaign called 'IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD'. In this campaign we ask a wider range of creative people (not just visual artists) what their absolute world would be like. We imagine a multi-media campaign where filmmakers, comedians, DJs, actors, industrial designers, magicians, computer programmers, chefs, fashion designers, game designers and stylists express their visions of an ABSOLUT World. Anyone who creates something -- both globally-well-known visionaries and niche trendsetters -- are welcome. The form of creative expression doesn't matter.

The big thing in this campaign is that we will not just talk about what we'd like an ABSOLUT WORLD to be. We will actually make it happen, in small steps, bit by bit.

As we said, you received this letter because we think you could come up with an amazing vision of an ABSOLUT World. If you think so too, these are the next steps:

  1. You fill in the form on the next page.
  2. We run your idea by the client.
  3. If ABSOLUT likes it, you get a creative fee and a production fee (based on how much your idea will cost to produce)
  4. You should be over 25 years of age.
  5. For legal reasons, the execution/vision can't include:
    - content that can appeal to children
    - violence/weapons
    - sex
    - drugs
    - cars
    - content that can be regarded as discriminatory
